Taman Harum offers guests a wide range of cultural activities, including Balinese dance & music, cooking, batik painting, woodcarving, temple offering, rice paddies walking and MORE.

The minutes guests arrive at Taman Harum, they become part of the extended Taman Harum family, where the every smiling and friendly staff take a genuine interest in their guest.

Located just south of Ubud in Mas, a village famous for its woodcarving. The hotel is surrounded by lush tropical garden setting, green rice paddies all the way to the sacred Mt. Agung and embodies the quiet serenity and expert craftsmanship of this important Balinese village.




Guest Rooms

All rooms are large and airy, air-conditioning, overhead fan, telephone. Deluxe marble bathrooms are delight to every sense and most of the room feature a secluded outdoor shower in a private garden. Mini bar, mosquito net + coils, towels and fresh drinking water.

All rooms are furnished in Balinese, feature a valuable collection of original paintings, sculptures, fine furniture and carefully chosen fabrics.

Hair Dryer are available on request. Non-smoking rooms are also available, Voltage: 220 Volt. Satellite TV Program and Movie are available at The Bar.

    The Villa is a two storey cottage featuring a master bedroom (A/C) with double bed, living room and a bathroom with bathtub & shower on the ground floor. A small bedroom (Fan) is located on the second floor with private balcony with views of the surrounding rice fields and Mt. Agung in the distance. Max. Occupancy of 3 people.

  • Family Villa ( 3 Villas)
    The Family Villa is also a two storey cottage featuring two master
    bedrooms (A/C), one room with double bed and other room with twin beds, living room and two bathrooms with bathtub & shower on the ground floor. A small bedroom (Fan) is located on the second floor with private balcony overlooking rice fields and a view of Mt. Agung. Max. Occupancy of 5 people.

  • Family Room ( 2 Units)
    2 Masterbedroom (A/C) on the upper level, 1 small bedroom(Fan)& living room on ground level, 2 bathrooms with bathtub & shower, connecting door. Max. Occupancy of 5 people.

  • Honeymoon Suite ( 1 only)
    The Honeymoon Suite A/C is a private cottage that features a bedroom with double bed, bathroom with bathtub & shower, living room, and private terrace/balcony overlooking the surrounding rice fields and Mt. Agung. Max. Occupancy of 2 people.

  • Standard Garden View Room (6 rooms)
    Single / Double / triple bed. located over 2 floors, choose either ground level room or upper level room. Bathroom with bathtub & shower, terrace with garden view.

Health, Sports & Recreation

The hotel offers the guests with wide range of cultural activities. Our experienced instructors will teach and lead the guest to do the activities from start to finish. This activities available everyday. In addition, it will takes 1-2 hours for each activities.

    This activity start in early morning around 5 or 6 A.M. The guest will be able to enjoy the beautiful sunrise. Our guide will lead guest through the surrounding rice fields and back lanes into a village while explaining the method of farming and the daily routine of the villagers. Wear comfortable clothing and shoes and of course bring camera.

  • COOKING CLASS
    US$15.00/person An early start to visit the local market and help buy all the ingredients for the feast to be cooked. The lesson will cover ingredients and techniques used in Indonesian cooking as well as give participants hands-on lessons in cooking dishes such as Balinese satay, vegetables, chicken/tuna in pandanus leaves and more.

  • MARKET VISIT
    Come and enjoy a wander through the local markets, place of unique sights, smells and sound. Our guide will explain about the foods and spices on sale and the interaction of the people in the market. Early morning is the best time to visit.

  • WOODCARVING LESSON
    US$7.00/person Our renowned wood carvers are busy all day for you to watch at work or join in and try the art of woodcarving for yourself. All tools and materials are supplied.

  • BATIK PAINTING
    US$8.00/person Design and paint your own T-shirt or cushion cover using the BATIK method of waxing and drying cloth. Artist will demonstrate and lead you through the process. Price includes all materials.

  • BALINESE PAINTING
    US$5.00/person. With guidance from our renowned artist, you will learn about the style and technique of Balinese painting. After an introduction you will have the opportunity to paint a canvas yourself. The price cover both traditional and modern styles of Balinese painting.

  • TEMPLE OFFERING
    US$5.00/person. A religion is such an intricate of daily life in Bali, there is always a festival or celebration to prepare for. Offering and decorations are colorful and necessary part of the ritual. You are invited to help in the creation of offering while learning about Balinese religion and belief.

  • BALINESE DANCE
    US$5.00/person. In this workshop you will discover the skill and grace involved in Balinese dance and with the instruction of our teachers learn such dances as the kecak and Butterfly.

  • BALINESE MUSIC
    US$5.00/person. Try your hand at playing some of the unique musical instruments of Bali and exploring the diverse variety of Balinese sounds such as gamelan and angklung.
